Fingerprints lead to trucker Fiocca, who transported wooden crates for him. They contained Etruscan art finds on a Ghini's building site, which would be shut down for a proper dig of officially reported. The team reconstructs the fencing tracks which the killer tries ruthlessly to blank, using violence again.

Die Ärztin einer Klinik für Kinderpsychologie, Marta Anselmi (Simona Lisi) wird in ihrer Wohnung ermordet aufgefunden. Zunächst fällt der Verdacht auf ihren Mitarbeiter Enrico Prandi (Augusto Poderosi), von dem ein Haar am Tatort entdeckt wurde und mit dem Marta eine kurze Affäre verband. Doch Lorenzo Fabbri (Kaspar Capparoni) und Rex entdecken schnell, dass das Haar von einem Fremden bewusst am Tatort platziert wurde, so dass Enrico Prandi entlastet ist. Giandomenico Morinis Recherche ergibt, dass der Leiter der Klinik, Andrea Migliavacca (Dominic Raacke), bei dem Kredithai Igor Cannizza (Paolo Bontempi) Schulden hatte. Als Rex im Haus der Ermordeten einen USB-Stick findet, auf dem die Bilanzen der Klinik gespeichert sind, gerät Andrea Migliavacca in den Focus der Ermittlungen. Doch Migliavacca hat ein Alibi: Er war zur fraglichen Zeit mit einer Patientin in einer Sitzung, die auf DVD aufgezeichnet wurde. Katia Martelli (Pilar Abella) von der Spurensicherung entdeckt jedoch, dass die Aufzeichnung allem Anschein nach manipuliert wurde. Den Schlüssel zur Auflösung des Falls liefert Martas autistischer Sohn Michele. Michele Anselmi (Guilio Maria Furente) spricht nicht, aber er malt Bilder, die Rex in einem Versteck aufspürt. Mithilfe der Ärztin Claudia Codazzi (Eliana Miglio) gelingt Lorenzo Fabbri die Entschlüsselung der Bilder und so die Überführung des Täters. Donatella (Sandra Collodel), Journalistin und Geliebte von Fabbris Chef Gori (Augusto Zucchi), wird ermordet. Gori war während der Tat in ihrer Wohnung, hatte aber ein Schlafmittel genommen und nichts bemerkt. Als der Hausmeister Soldini (Angelo Pellegrino) Gori belastet, wird er zum Hauptverdächtigen. Gori wird vom Dienst suspendiert, doch Fabbri ist von seiner Unschuld überzeugt. Er erwirkt beim Staatsanwalt einen 24-stündigen Zeitaufschub, um Gori vor der Untersuchungshaft zu bewahren. Donatellas letzte Dienstreise führte sie nach Ex-Jugoslawien. Dort wurde sie mit einem Italiener gesehen. Die Daten auf Donatellas Laptop beweisen, dass es sich nicht um einen Liebhaber, sondern um den zwielichtigen Autohändler Rigoni (Luca Dresda) handelt. Rigoni gibt zu, gestohlene Autos zu verschieben, beteuert aber, mit dem Mord an Donatella nichts zu tun zu haben. Zusammen mit Gori untersucht Fabbri noch einmal Donatellas Wohnung. Gori erinnert sich, dass ein T-Shirt auf dem Boden lag und eine Schublade offen stand, als sie gemeinsam heimkehrten. Außer der Putzfrau hatte nur der Hausmeister Soldini einen Schlüssel zur Wohnung. Dessen Frau (Maria Grazia Bon) vermutet ihn in seiner Dunkelkammer. Dort finden Fabbri und Gori eine beträchtliche Menge Fotos von Donatella, die Soldini heimlich aufgenommen haben muss. Soldini spürt, wie sich die Schlinge um ihn zuzieht. Doch als Fabbri, Gori und der inzwischen ebenfalls eingetroffene Morini auf ihn zukommen, flüchtet er auf das Dach des Hauses. Der Jockey Marussi (Maurizio Vargiu) wird nach einem siegreichen Rennen mit einem Loch in der Schläfe in der Box seines Pferdes aufgefunden. Valli, (Bruno Crucitti) ein im Wettmilieu bekannter Spieler, hatte auf Marussis Pferd gesetzt und dabei 300 000 Euro gewonnen. Fabbri kommt das Wettspiel suspekt vor, denn Marussi war nur ein zweitklassiger Jockey. Fabbris Zweifel bestätigen sich: Marussis Pferd war bei dem Rennen gedopt. Valli leugnet, Marussi gekannt zu haben. Bei Valli findet Fabbri Skizzen der Villa des Architekten Bordon (Massimiliano Sassi), in der kürzlich wertvolle Bilder gestohlen wurden. Valli gesteht, zusammen mit Marussi den Diebstahl begangen zu haben. Marussi hat die Bilder verkauft, das Geld haben sie geteilt. Er hat seinen Anteil auf Marussis Anraten hin auf dessen Pferd gesetzt. Was der Jockey mit seinem Geld gemacht hat, weiß er nicht. Der Verdacht gegen Valli erhärtet sich, da er eine Waffe in Besitz hat, deren Kaliber zu dem Loch in der Schläfe des Toten passt. Vorsorglich lässt Fabbri Valli verhaften. Da stellt sich heraus, dass es nicht eine Kugel war, die den Jockey tötete: Die Schläfe wurde mit einem länglichen, stiftartigen Gegenstand durchbohrt. Fabbri erinnert sich, dass Marussis Ex-Frau Stefania (Jeanne Tremsal) Schuhe mit besonders hohen Absätzen trägt. Auch sie war am Tag des Mordes auf der Rennbahn. Stefania ist die Sekretärin des Industriellen Giannini (Alessandro Mistichelli). Nach einer Verfolgungsjagd durch ein Luxushotel stellt Rex die beiden. Fabbris ganzes Fachkönnen ist gefragt, um das Komplott aus Spielern und Kunstdealern zu entlarven. (Text: ZDF)

Bei einem Foto-Shooting bricht das Model Rosaria (Patricia Contreras) zusammen und stirbt. Schnell steht fest, dass die junge Frau einem vergifteten Asthmaspray zum Opfer gefallen ist, das der Täter in ihrem Wohnwagen platziert hat. Als Fabbri (Kaspar Capparoni) die Ermittlungen aufnimmt, bricht er sich den Knöchel, so dass Morini (Fabio Ferri), begleitet von Rex, den Fall übernehmen muss. Patrizia (Magnali Marianeschi), Rosarias Freundin, berichtet Morini von deren Begeisterung für das Computerspiel „My Life“. In der Computerwelt hatte sie sich eine neue Identität zugelegt und verkehrte online mit Gleichgesinnten, um ihre Phantasien frei ausleben zu können. In Rosarias Wohnung findet Morini eine Krone, ein Merchandisingprodukt aus einer japanischen Comic-Serie, die Rosaria auch in ihrer virtuellen Welt trug. Morini kontrolliert die in Frage kommenden Geschäfte und identifiziert schließlich denjenigen, der die Krone gekauft hat. Es ist Gianni, ein Hacker, der sich am Tag des tödlichen Foto-Shootings unter den Schaulustigen befand. In der Zwischenzeit haben Katia (Pilar Abella) und Fabbri in „My Life“ bereits unter Rosarias Identität mit ihrem virtuellem Begleiter Kontakt aufgenommen. Sie ahnen nicht, dass dieser Begleiter niemand anderes als Gianni (Davide Paganini) ist. Gianni hingegen weiß, dass Rosaria tot ist, und findet Fabbris Adresse heraus. Als Morini unterdessen Gianni verhören will, trifft er auf dessen Mutter (Patrizia Sacchi). Der Bildschirm von Giannis Computer zeigt seltsamerweise Fabbris Adresse an. In dem kleinen Ort Santa Marinella ist die Geigenlehrerin Elisa Donati ermordet worden. Ihre Freundin Gisela ist niemand Geringerer als Fabbris Mutter. Sie verlangt von ihrem Sohn, dass er Elisas Mörder seiner gerechten Strafe zuführt. Der Fall fällt zwar nicht in Fabbris Zuständigkeit, aber glücklicherweise ist die zuständige Kommissarin Nina Canale eine ehemalige Freundin, die sich über Fabbris Unterstützung freut. Sofia, eine befreundete Nachbarin, hatte Diebe, die nachts in Elisas Haus eingebrochen waren, zufällig gesehen und Elisas Leiche wenig später entdeckt. Spuren führen zu Mario Salvarani, der bereits mehrere Überfälle in der Gegend verübt haben soll. Er gesteht den Überfall, doch er beteuert, die Frau gefesselt und geknebelt, aber bei bester Gesundheit zurückgelassen zu haben. In Fabbri keimt der Verdacht, dass hier jemand den Raubüberfall als Anlass zu einer sehr persönlichen Rache genommen hat. (Text: ORF)

Der Japanliebhaber Graf Alfonso Borromini wird tot in seinem Arbeitszimmer aufgefunden. Alles deutet auf Harakiri hin, doch Fabbris Assistent Morini erkennt, dass der Graf bei dem Ritual unfachmännisch mit dem Schwert umgegangen ist. Ein neuer Fall für Kommissar Fabbri und seinen Gefährten Rex. Am Tag vor Alfonsos Ermordung wollte eine ältere Frau mit Corrado, dem Sohn des Grafen, sprechen. Da Corrado nicht da war, sprach der Graf selbst mit ihr und schien nach dem Gespräch zutiefst betroffen. Die Unbekannte wird erdrosselt aufgefunden und als Margherita Lanzoni identifiziert. Auch das Zimmermädchen Desiree stirbt eines gewaltsamen Todes. Unter den Familienmitgliedern hat der spielsüchtige, unvermögende Bruder Antonio ebenso ein Motiv wie der Schwiegersohn Carlo, Ehemann von Alfonsos Tochter Maria. Als Fabbri mit Hilfe von Rex in einem Geheimgang Spuren von Corrados Stiefeln findet, gilt der junge Mann als Hauptverdächtiger, zumal er wegen seiner polnischen Verlobten mit seinem Vater immer wieder Streit hatte. Margherita Lanzonis Tochter wurde vor sechs Monaten ermordet, doch Corrado schwört, weder Mutter noch Tochter gekannt zu haben. Ein Foto aus einer Zeitschrift, die Margherita Lanzoni bei sich hatte, ist für Fabbri schließlich der entscheidende Hinweis zur Auflösung des Falls. (Text: ZDF)

Concezio Soldati erschießt den Hausmeister eines Schulgebäudes und verschafft sich Zugang zu einem Klassenzimmer. Er sucht die Lehrerin Maria Mastrangelo, die aber an dem Tag nicht da ist. Concezio verlangt, dass man ihm die Lehrerin bringt. Sonst droht er, die Schüler, die er nun in seiner Gewalt hat, nacheinander umzubringen. Unterstützt von einer Spezialeinheit, leitet Fabbri die Verhandlungen mit Concezio. Er erfährt, dass Concezio vor zwei Jahren seinen Sohn Ivan verlor: Ivan wurde beim Sportunterricht von einer zusammenbrechenden Sprossenwand erschlagen. An dem Unglückstag hatte Maria die Aufsicht. In dem anschließenden Prozess wurden Maria und der Schuldirektor frei gesprochen. Als die Leiche des Schuldirektors gefunden wird, beginnt für Lorenzo und Rex ein Wettlauf gegen die Zeit. (Text: ORF)

Die Delfintrainerin Monica Rubesi wird im Delfinbecken des Tierparks Zoomarine tot aufgefunden. Sowohl der Zoodirektor Porcelli als auch Salbitani, der Chef eines Sicherheitsunternehmens, geben sich sehr betroffen. Von den Kollegen hat Rino Tremonti, der Monica als Letzter gesehen hatte, kein Alibi, scheidet aber schnell als Verdächtiger aus: Er hatte notgedrungen auf dem Gelände übernachtet, weil seine Freundin ihn vor die Tür gesetzt hatte.
