Sophie Haas had actually been looking forward to finally being promoted to head of Cologne's homicide squad. But instead, she is unexpectedly transferred to the fictitious provincial town of Hengasch, where murder and manslaughter are nowhere in sight. At least that's how it seems at first glance. However, behind the perfect façade of the sleepy Eifel village, abysses soon open up that provide the ambitious city detective with enough food for thought to prevent her from becoming bogged down behind a desk in her job. Together with her rather staid police colleagues Dietmar Schäffer and Bärbel Schmied, she goes on the hunt for criminals in the rural environment. She had already applied weeks ago for a vacant position at the Cologne CID and hopes to be invited at least to the interview - which leads to a little upset in Schulte, because Sophie actually does not want to live in Hengash. The deadline for applications is today. Like every year, Zielonka is supposed to give Santa Claus in the kindergarten, in the town hall and in many other places in Hengasch - but he doesn't show up. It turns out that Zielonka was actually kidnapped. When the postman returns her application for Cologne – with insufficient postage – she comes under pressure: If she still wants to apply for the job, she should actually leave immediately to hand in the envelope in person and doom Zielonka. In the spectacular finale, in which Sophie and the team free Zielonka, Sophie decides to do the impossible: to submit her application in Cologne. Will she succeed?

In order to get upset about the conceited Schulte with her best friend Doro, Sophie goes on a hiking excursion that ends at the hotel "Traube". There, Sophie is sure that she witnessed a murder, and although there is no body, she does not let up. Finally, she discovers that the hotel is a popular place to go for city dwellers who long for amorous adventures with the male Eifel population. Among them are masseur Würselen, shop owner and nude cleaner Assenmacher and the former baker Lindenhofen. But the suspicion is initially directed at none other than Heike Schäffer, who has also booked herself into the Hotel Traube under a false name. Sophie and Schulte get closer again – but this time it is Sophie who sets the pace. Dietmar and Heike get along again and Irmtraud moves in with Aunt Klärchen.

Holland in distress! In the holiday park "Das Paradies", which is almost exclusively inhabited and managed by Dutch people, the chip shop owner, Jaap Mulders, lies dead in a pool of "Saté-Saus". Initial investigations show that the mood among the bungalow park residents is rather tense. Lieke, the wife of park operator van Uffelen, had an affair with the owner of the chip shop. However, it quickly turns out that Mulders wanted to put an end to the liaison. Was jealousy the motive? Sophie, Dietmar and Bärbel are "supported" in their investigations by Jos de Jong, a retired commissioner from the island of Texel. For Sophie, however, it is also getting tight privately, because Kauth is apparently getting worse and worse with the new non-binding nature of their relationship.

It is the day of the mayoral election. Singing brother Hermann lies slain behind the Gasthof Aubach. In his hand he holds a ballot paper that has already been filled out – for Zielonka. Could the murder have been politically motivated?

After a first clue leads to the gardener Schönfelder, after his exoneration, everything indicates that Dagmar Brandt could be the dead woman. Dagmar is said to have left her husband Arthur and their son, Stefan, behind about 20 years ago and eloped with her lover. Finally, Sophie finds out through a trick that Dagmar Brandt has actually died. But how did the body end up in the moor?

Sophie ens her slump and starts a new friendship with her ex Kauth. Dietmar's mother wants to stay longer. Her apartment burned down and now that the owner is considering the demolition of the whole house, she should look for a new place to stay, but doesn't. Bärbel still has her burden with the court, which is also slowly showing in her work. At the Gasthof Aubach, the local amateur play by the retired history teacher Kredder will once again be performed. He has been working on the history of Hengasch and has already brought to light some interesting background information about the Eifel village. When he is shot during his play, the first suspicion falls on the shooter Zielonka. It comes to light that Kredder has been researching dark family secrets from the Nazi era. Sophie and Kauth don't manage to put their resolution to remain friends into practice. They do exactly what a couple who have almost been married before and now want to switch to friendship does: they end up in bed.
3	Goulash for the hostage-taker	2014-09-23
Sophie is so depressed about her failed wedding and the sudden departure of her father that she lets everything slide. She doesn't clean up anymore, doesn't clean and she has no interest in her work. Not even in the new case: Prisoner Romanski has escaped from the Koblenz prison and his escape could lead via Hengash. At the station, Bärbel shows signs of fatigue as she has to stand in for her sick brother on the farm. Dietmar, on the other hand, is in a good mood, after all, Heike cooks his favorite goulash. That's when Dietmar receives the shocking news: The gangster has taken Heike hostage. When Heike and Romanski start talking, she learns that he has broken out to save his marriage. The caring Heike shows empathy for him and offers goulash to the hungry hostage-taker. Sophie manages to stage a diversionary maneuver and overwhelm Romanski. Dietmar's mother Irmtraud suddenly appears at the door with her suitcases packed – much to Heike's horror.
2	The carport	2014-09-16
Even though Hannes, Danuta and Kauth are gone, the new loneliness in the forester's lodge is no reason for Sophie to hang her head, and so she decides to make herself nice in Hengasch. Professionally, she investigates the murder of Ines, Jan Schulte's cousin. The 21-year-old had been working for several months as an intern at the town hall, where her body was also found. During the investigation, Pit, the friend of the dead, and Fräulein Berger, the jealous secretary of Mayor Hans Zwanziger, first come under suspicion. Jan Schulte himself, who obviously has money problems and who shares a common inheritance with his dead cousin, is also targeted by the investigation. In the end, however, everything is completely different. In order to advance professionally, she blackmailed mayor Hans Zwanziger. With so many motives, Sophie Haas and her team have to pull out to find the murderer.
1	Sophie's World	2014-09-09
We remember the grand finale of the second season: Sophie's civil wedding ends without a wedding ceremony, but in a wild chase, because it turns out that the registrar is none other than "Marilyn", the jewel thief who has already escaped Sophie several times. And it is precisely in the middle of this chase that the third season of "Murder with a View" begins. For Sophie, her wedding in one fell swoop is secondary. She, Bärbel and Dietmar are hot on Marilyn's heels, but they are – once again! –Escapes. But the police colleagues are not so easily shaken off by the provincial criminals. But that's not all: While Sophie's father Hannes moves to Poland with Danuta completely unexpectedly, Sophie's almost-husband Jochen Kauth loses his strength: The failed wedding has shown him once again that he wants a life with Sophie, but it will never work out together. Sophie is busy with her wedding preparations, although the Hengascher bourgeois rituals really get on her nerves. Grateful for every distraction, she runs after the fleeing jewel thief “Marilyn” in the middle of the wedding dress fitting. Sophie is also suspicious of the archaic May Festival rituals, in which May Queens are auctioned off to the “highest bidder”. Lo and behold, the head of the May Committee, Josten, is found dead. He appears to have died of a heart attack just before he was about to hang himself. But Sophie doesn't quite believe in a natural cause. Finally, last year, the unsympathetic bought May Queen Tine, girlfriend of May Committee member Sascha. Tine stubbornly keeps quiet about exactly what happened back then.
12	The application	2012-11-27
Sophie is invited to dinner at Jochen Kauth's and is amazed at the exaggerated effort that he has made for a seemingly ordinary mid-week dinner. For Kauth, however, it is no ordinary dinner: he solemnly proposes to Sophie! Sophie responds with a resolute "Yes," which slightly annoys Kauth. That's not all, there is actually only one person who had a motive for the murder of animal healer Junk: And the person's name is Jochen Kauth!
11	A crumbly dog	2012-11-20
There was a break-in at Arthur Brandt's house, an influential Hengasher who, among other things, is a sponsor of the volunteer fire brigade and whom the whole of Hengasch bows down to. He was allegedly surprised and knocked out by the burglar. Sophie doesn't believe him, but suspects an insurance scam and doesn't have any problems messing with the influential man.
10	That's called camping...	2012-11-13
When Sophie hears about the sudden death of the pensioner Vostell, she immediately senses a crime, because the circumstances of the death make no sense to her. Since the Vostell case is not her responsibility, but that of her colleagues from Bad Münstereifel, who absolutely don't want to know anything about a crime, Sophie has to start the investigation on her own - undercover: on a campsite, together with Dietmar Schäffer – disguised as a married couple ...
9	Death on the 18th hole	2012-11-06
It's "slaughter week" at the Gasthof Aubach and because Sophie forgot to go shopping, she pays a visit to the restaurant. There she meets golf instructor Gerard. And because she's been through a long dry spell when it comes to men, she takes Gerard home with her for dessert, so to speak - Hannes is still in Poland with Danuta. The next day, Sophie is blown away when she learns that Gerard is dead at the 18th hole of the golf club near Liebernich.
8	The seed of evil	2012-10-30
Little Timmi is gone and all of Hengasch is helping to look for the baby. Above all, his mother Nicole and his father Bauer Ludwig Jaschke are devastated and cannot explain who should have kidnapped the little one. Although Ludwig had various enemies, e.g. B. Beekeeper Petri, whose bee colonies died because of Jaschke's genetic maize. But the deeper Sophie, Dietmar and Bärbel delve into the case, the clearer it becomes that the Jaschkes are guarding a family secret, because apparently Nicole and her brother-in-law have become very close in the past - which also raises the question of who the biological father is is from Timmi and therefore might have a reason for a kidnapping.
7	Waldhaus Amore	2012-10-23
At a small drink on the occasion of Bärbel's birthday in the "Gasthof Aubach", Sophie allows herself one or two too many glasses, gets caught in an alcohol test and has to hand in her driver's license. In addition, proceedings are being initiated against her because there is a suspicion that she has committed a breach of service supervision. Sophie is suspended for the time being and Dietmar has to head the police station on an interim basis. But when one of the owners of the local brothel "Waldhaus Amore" is found shot dead in front of his establishment, Sophie gives up on her suspension and takes up the investigation - much to the displeasure of Heike and especially Zielonka sen. For the first time, Bärbel can claim success with her new psychological approach.
6	The juice bar	2012-10-09
Bärbel comes back from further training on the subject of profiling and believes from now on that he can look behind people's foreheads - which of course is absolute nonsense, but Sophie lets her do it for the time being. But when Bärbel becomes more and more independent in the course of the current case, Sophie has to call her to order.
5	Hot babes, real guys	2012-10-02
Nerves are on edge in Hengasch. When the weather is nice, umpteen motorbikes thunder through the town every weekend, because if you want to take a spin in the Eifel on your bike, you have to go through Hengasch. Visitors from the city are welcome to half of the Hengasher, not to the other half. As is always the case, the innkeepers benefit, while the farmers complain about the noise and trampled fields.
4	Henghasch	2012-09-25
Gardener Schönfelder can no longer keep up with the geranium prices of the big hardware store chains. But before he surrenders to his fate without a fight, he wants to use his green fingers one last time and breeds hashish - the craziest hashish far and wide, because as an expert he has the necessary know-how. But since he never expected such a large harvest in his life, the stuff literally grows over his head, so that the completely overwhelmed gardener doesn't know what to do now.
3	And forever the bluethroat sings	2012-09-18
Sophie is amazed when the quirky ornithologist Professor Franzen appears at the station and has Dietmar and Bärbel imitate bird calls - apparently a ritual with tradition, because Prof. Franzen comes by once a year together with a group of students to inspect the extraordinarily rare bluethroat in to watch his nesting refuge in Hengasch. Unfortunately, the fun of the ornithologists is short-lived, because one of the students is found dead in the woods. Initially, Prof. Franzen is targeted by Sophie because very compromising photos show him in a bird costume together with the dead woman.
2	Terror in Hengasch	2012-09-04
To Sophie's surprise, the new nurse Danuta is extremely elegant and speaks fluent German. It's no wonder that Hannes gets along with her very well right from the start. Everything seems peaceful until cute ceramic figures suddenly explode in several front gardens. The ceramic cat in front of the Schäffers' house and the wild boar figures in the front yard of old Zielonka also have to die. One quickly becomes certain: Terror in Hengasch! At first, Sophie and her colleagues assume that the village youth is playing a practical joke.
1	The Venus of Hengash	2012-08-28
Everything could have been so nice for Sophie: back to Cologne, back to her old job, back to her old life - and away from Hengasch! But since she reckoned without the innkeeper or her father Hannes. When he suffers a heart attack, Sophie not only learns that his health is not good, but also that the stubborn old man bought the old forester's lodge in Hengasch behind her back. So it's clear: Sophie stays!

The young zoo employee Sonja is abandoned by her friend and colleague Jens. The mentally unstable woman freaks out. She adores Jens and in her exaggerated jealousy she fears that he wants to return to his ex-girlfriend Conny, who is paralyzed after an accident. She threatens to kill herself and the baby collared bear Gustav, who is in her care, if Jens doesn't change his mind. Can Sophie, Bärbel and Dietmar persuade Sonja, who is determined to do anything, to give up?

Sophie feels increasingly lonely in Hengasch and seriously considers retiring from the police service and returning to Cologne. However, she is somewhat distracted from her gloomy thoughts by another murder case: DIY store owner Pfaff is shot dead while Nordic walking in front of his wife and an employee. Pfaff ran his hardware store with an iron fist, and some recent incidents indicate that he had enemies – but is the perpetrator really to be found in the wider environment? Because the best motives for the crime actually have the people who were present at the murder. But how could they have done it?
11	Deadly subject matter	2010-08-10
Sophie is surprised – and Bärbel explains to her: The reason why Heike and Dietmar have been so distracted lately is the giftedness of their son Kevin. And since he has problems with the "normal" school thanks to his oversized IQ, he is supposed to move into the elite boarding school Lobberich, which is very close to Hengash. Even before Kevin is accepted there as a scholarship holder, his future teacher Dr. Kroy stupidly drops dead: heart attack – at least says Dr. Bechermann, the gynecologist of the district, who is all too often active in the emergency service. However, the autopsy reveals that it is not a natural death, because Kroy's teaching staff contains a huge amount of cocaine, which was apparently not taken consciously. So murder after all. Since Kroy enjoyed great unpopularity, there are also plenty of students and colleagues who could have been trusted with the deed.
10	Waltzing Mathilde	2010-08-03
For a change, it's not just any violent offender, but veterinarian Kauth who puts a gun to Sophie's chest: He wants to turn their affair into a tangible relationship, yes, even move in with her. Before Sophie decides, she first solves the mystery of the seriously injured electrician Poppelrath, who lies in the garden of the housewife Kafka with an inexplicable head injury and a heart attack. Is the blame for this, as many in the village think, really the newly arrived man from East Germany, who – at least in the eyes of the Hengasch people – behaves highly suspiciously? Or does the victim's pathologically jealous wife have a hand in it? And is there a crime at all?

Sophie has now embarked on an affair with veterinarian Kauth, which not only has advantages. For example, she has to assist in the birth of twin calves before starting work, which hits her stomach more than the sight of a corpse. When winemaker Hubert Kreuzberg leads the officers to a small, dead body lying in the middle of his vineyard, the horrified officials initially believe it is a child. But it is the dwarf thief and fencer Arno Hümmel, who was released from custody only two days ago. What brought him to the Eifel and Kreuzberg's vineyard? And who maltreated his little skull with a big bottle of red wine?

The famous piano virtuoso Roman Lasmo is one of the few prominent inhabitants of Hengasch, but he has never been seen in the village. That changes when his wife asks the police to check on her husband, which Sophie and her colleagues promptly do. As they discover, someone has robbed Lasmo of his little finger, and is now blackmailing him. Of course, a life with nine fingers has a different value for a pianist than for a tax official, and so Sophie, Dietmar and Bärbel do everything they can to find the finger in time and put the culprit behind bars.
