11	Episode 76
Noch sieben Tage bis zur Eröffnung! Michael und „Rooftop“ hängen bei den Vorbereitungen für die Eröffnung der neuen Kunstgalerie mächtig im Zeitplan. Das Projekt kommt nur schleppend voran, denn Kat hat einfach zuviel um die Ohren. Außerdem gibt es Ärger mit dem roten Teppich. Der ist eigentlich Pflicht bei der Veranstaltung, aber der örtliche Sheriff macht den Jungs einen Strick durch die Rechnung. Kats Bruder muss sich eine Menge einfallen lassen, damit die Tattoo-Queen ihre Gäste auf der Vernissage standesgemäß empfangen kann. Doch der Aufwand lohnt sich, denn für die größte Überraschung sorgt seine Schwester am nächsten Tag selbst. Kat präsentiert der Öffentlichkeit einen neuen Mann an ihrer Seite, und der Auserwählte ist bei weitem kein Unbekannter.

Kat ist total happy. Ein Gebäude neben dem „High Voltage“, auf das sie schon lange ein Auge geworfen hatte, ist endlich frei geworden. Die Tattoo-Queen möchte dort eine Kunstgalerie eröffnen. Ihr Bruder Michael und „Rooftop“ sollen sie bei dem Projekt unterstützen, denn eigentlich hat Kat für zusätzliche Verpflichtungen überhaupt keine Zeit. Im Gegenteil, Boyfriend Nikki reagiert langsam ein wenig ungehalten, weil er seine Freundin so selten zu Gesicht bekommt. Daher lädt der Rockstar Kat zu einem Europa-Trip ein. Seine Band Mötley Crüe geht dort auf Tournee. Kat ist hin und her gerissen.

Die Zeit ist reif! Kat möchte das alte Wandgemälde an der Fassade des „High Voltage“ mit den Portraits der Crew-Mitglieder durch ein neues Bild ersetzen. Im Studio hat sich in den letzten Monaten nämlich einiges verändert. Alte Weggefährten wie etwa Corey haben den Shop verlassen, stattdessen gibt es dort viele neue Gesichter. Das möchte die Tattoo-Queen nun auch deutlich machen und engagiert für das Projekt extra einen spanischen Graffiti-Künstler: Belin, der auch das alte Kunstwerk entworfen hat, ist ein Meister seines Fachs. Bei der feierlichen Enthüllung des Gemäldes ist das ganze Team aus dem Häuschen. Der Profi-Sprayer hat die Eigenarten sämtlicher Mitglieder so genau getroffen, dass man den Eindruck hat, vor überdimensionalen Fotos zu stehen.

Kats Tattoo-Studio „High Voltage“ feiert in Kürze sein dreijähriges Bestehen, doch die Chefin ist so ausgebucht, dass für Party-Organisationen einfach keine Zeit bleibt. Das restliche Team und ihr Bruder Michael wollen den Jahrestag aber nicht einfach verstreichen lassen: Sie planen für die gestresste Tattoo-Queen eine Überraschung. Während Kat ihrer Kundin Cindy ein Portrait ihrer Mom aufs Schulterblatt sticht, basteln die Angestellten an einem Kunstwerk - ein Gemälde, auf dem sich jeder mit seinem eigenen Stil verewigen kann. Während „Rooftop“ die Chefin unter einem Vorwand aus dem Shop lockt, schmuggelt die Crew das Geschenk ins Studio.

Musik hat im Leben von Tattoo-Künstlerin Kat von D immer eine wichtige Rolle gespielt - egal ob zur Inspiration für neue Projekte oder als Ausdruck ihres Lifestyles. In dieser Folge von „LA Ink“ dreht sich alles um Rock, Pop und Heavy Metal: Phil Collen, Gitarrist der englischen Rock-Band „Def Leppard“, wünscht sich ein Partner-Tattoo mit seiner Verlobten. Das „Rolling Stone Magazine“ führt mit Kat ein Interview. Und Nikki Sixx, Bassist von „Mötley Crüe“, schaut auch mal wieder im Shop vorbei.

Während Tätowier-Ikone Kat von D die Nadel schwingt und ein detailverliebtes Portrait sowie ein cooles BMX-Tattoo auf die Haut ihrer Kundschaft zaubert, hat Craig eine besondere Idee: Um sein elfjähriges Jubiläum als erfolgreicher Tattoo-Künstler zu zelebrieren, bietet er alle Motive für nur 20 Dollar an - doch die Rabatt-Aktion stößt nicht beim ganzen Team auf Gegenliebe.

Romantikerinnen unter sich. Country-Sängerin Shelly Fairchild arbeitet an der Westküste an neuen Songtexten und nutzt den L.A.-Trip für einen Besuch im „High Voltage“. Die Musikerin aus Nashville, Tennessee, wünscht sich schon seit Langem ein Tattoo von Kat. Ein passendes Motiv hat sich Shelly auch schon ausgesucht: den Schriftzug „Love“ mit einem kunstvoll integrierten Auge. Durch knallige Farben soll die Tätowierung zum echten Eyecatcher werden. Von Kats Kumpel „Rooftop“, der sich über die Gefühlsduseleien der Ladies lustig macht, lassen sich die beiden nicht irritieren. Schließlich dürfen auch Frauen hin und wieder sentimental sein. Das Tattoo wird jedenfalls ein echter Knaller - aber auch Kats vorerst letztes Meisterwerk. Am nächsten Morgen setzt ein Spinnenbiss die attraktive Studio-Chefin außer Gefecht. Kats Auge ist so stark angeschwollen, dass sie eine Zwangspause einlegen und Medikamente einwerfen muss. Sollten die verschriebenen Antibiotika und Kompressen nicht schnell für eine Besserung sorgen, muss Kat vielleicht sogar unters Messer.

Stress ohne Ende! Der Blick in ihren Terminkalender treibt Kat den Schweiß auf die Stirn. Fast fühlt sie sich in die Zeit ihres Tattoo-Weltrekords zurückversetzt: Damals stach die gebürtige Mexikanerin innerhalb von 24 Stunden 400 Kunden einen coolen Schriftzug auf die Haut! Und nun müsste sie einen ähnlichen Affenzahn an den Tag legen, um mit ihrem Mammutprogramm durchzukommen. Außer ihrem Tätowier-Studio hat Kat nämlich noch haufenweise Nebenbeschäftigungen: unter anderem ihre Make up-Linie bei „Sephora“ und ihr neues Buch, bei dem das Schlusskapitel noch aussteht. Da die attraktive Tattoo-Spezialistin im „High Voltage“ aber bereits völlig ausgebucht ist, hat sie keine Ahnung, wie sie all ihre Jobs auf die Reihe bekommen soll. Schließlich erwarten ihre Klienten volle Aufmerksamkeit und legen weite Strecken zurück, um in den Genuss eines Kat von D-Tattoos zu kommen. Kunde Felix zum Beispiel ist extra aus Schweden angereist.
3	Episode 68
Im „High Voltage“ um seinen Job zu betteln, obwohl er den Laden mit aufgebaut hat, kommt für Corey nicht in Frage. Stattdessen heuert der Tattoo-Crack bei der Konkurrenz im „American Electric“ an und wird dort mit offenen Armen empfangen. Kaum hat Corey im Studio eingecheckt, meldet sich auch schon der erste Kunde: Musiker Travie ist begeisterter Marvin Gaye-Fan und lässt sich sein Idol genau dorthin pieksen, wo es besonders weh tut - auf die Rippen. Kats Kumpel Rooftop lässt inzwischen keine Gelegenheit aus, ihren Boyfriend Nikki auf die Schippe zu nehmen. Seit neustem tragen die beiden ihre Privat-Fehde sogar auf „Twitter“ aus.
2	Episode 67
Eine romantische Highschool-Liebe, stilistisch angesiedelt in den „Fourties“, als Frauen noch sehr feminine Kleidung und Frisuren trugen - dieser Auftrag ist ganz nach Kats Geschmack! Dementsprechend leicht geht ihr der erste Entwurf von der Hand. Kats Kunde Jody kommt mit einem Foto seiner Mutter ins „High Voltage“, das aus den 40er Jahren stammt. Damals war sie 17 Jahre alt und hatte gerade seinen Vater kennen gelernt. Die alte Schwarzweißaufnahme, die der junge Mann in Zukunft als Portrait auf seiner Wade tragen möchte, ist bei einem Ausflug ans Meer entstanden. Und Jody ist vom Tattoo zu Ehren seiner Mom so begeistert, dass er in Zukunft wohl nur noch kurze Hosen tragen wird.

Kat ist hin und her gerissen. Soll die Tattoo-Expertin ihren ehemaligen Mitarbeiter Corey wieder einstellen oder nicht? Der erfahrene Künstler war ihr in der Vergangenheit oft eine große Stütze. Corey hat sich mit seiner Erfahrung um das „High Voltage“ sehr verdient gemacht. Doch dann hat er seine Kollegen ohne Vorwarnung einfach im Stich gelassen und ist nicht mehr zur Arbeit erschienen. Nun drängt ihr alter Kumpel auf eine schnelle Entscheidung. Doch Kat möchte sich Zeit lassen und die Sache zunächst mit ihren Mitarbeitern besprechen.

13	Episode 65
Kats alter Kumpel „Rooftop“ kommt zu Besuch. Der Profi-BMX-Fahrer hat demnächst einige Termine in L.A. und wird daher für eine Weile bei der Tattoo-Queen wohnen. Nikki, Kats Freund, gibt sich nach außen hin zwar gelassen, ein wenig eifersüchtig ist der Mötley Crüe-Frontman aber trotzdem. Scherze, die auf sein fortgeschrittenes Alter anspielen, kann der gestandene Rock "šn’ Roller nämlich überhaupt nicht leiden. Nach einem gelungenen Auftritt in der "Lopez Tonight Show", muss die „High Voltage“-Chefin dann eine wichtige Entscheidung treffen. Kunden haben sich im Studio nach Corey erkundigt und nun steht die Frage im Raum, ob Kat ihren alten Weggefährten wieder einstellen soll.
12	Episode 64
Er war ihr Fels in der Brandung und außerdem ein guter Freund - trotzdem werden Kat und Corey in nächster Zeit getrennte Wege gehen. Dabei könnte die „High Voltage“-Chefin gerade jetzt dringend Hilfe gebrauchen. Künstler Dan wird nämlich auch für eine Weile ausfallen, da er mit seiner Band auf Tour geht, und sie selbst hat neben der Arbeit im Studio jede Menge andere Dinge zu tun. Seit Kat mit ihrem Tattoo-Studio Furore macht, reißen sich alle um die attraktive junge Frau, vom Buchverlag bis zum Designer. Da fällt es nicht immer leicht, sich ganz aufs Geschäft zu konzentrieren. Trotzdem gelingt Kat auch in dieser Episode ein kleines Meisterwerk - auf der Haut von Schauspieler Dominic Monaghan („Herr der Ringe/ „Lost“).
11	Episode 63
Jetzt ist das Maß voll! Als Kat erfährt, dass Liz hinter ihrem Rücken Lügen verbreitet, platzt der Tattoo-Queen endgültig der Kragen. Die Shop-Managerin hat mit ihren hinterhältigen Sticheleien das Team gespalten und wird deshalb fristlos entlassen. Corey nutzt unterdessen seinen Kurzurlaub, um im „Six Feet Under“ nach dem Rechten zu sehen. Der Künstler spielt ernsthaft mit dem Gedanken, sich in Zukunft nur noch um seinen eigenen Tattoo-Laden zu kümmern. Das passt der Chefin natürlich gar nicht: Kat erwartet von ihrem Mitarbeiter absolute Loyalität und besteht darauf, dass Corey im „High Voltage“ seine Arbeit erledigt.
10	Episode 62
Im Tattoo-Shop geht es wieder mal drunter und drüber: Corey verschwindet in den Urlaub, ohne Bescheid zu sagen, Aubry will ihren Job an den Nagel hängen und Liz nimmt es mit der Wahrheit nicht so genau, wie es unter Kollegen angebracht wäre. Doch Kat von D bleibt cool. Als Studio-Chefin ist sie wie immer professionell und konzentriert sich auf das Wesentliche - die Zufriedenheit der Kundschaft. Ihr jüngstes Meisterwerk: zwei stylische, mit Initialen versehene Revolver auf der Haut einer jungen Mutter. Sie symbolisieren die schwere Vergangenheit der Familie und sollen Kraft, Hoffnung und Schutz für eine positive Zukunft spenden.
9	Episode 61
Chantal und ihr Mann James sind Musiker. Vor ein paar Jahren spielten die beiden mit ihren Bands auf dem gleichen Konzert und verliebten sich dort in einander. Heute leben sie in einer festen Beziehung - und diese Fügung des Schicksals möchte Chantal jetzt mit einem Tattoo besiegeln. Kat entwirft ein stylisches „Lettering-Motiv“, das das große Glück ihrer Kundin widerspiegelt. Von Harmonie zwischen den Angestellten kann im „High Voltage“ dagegen keine Rede sein. Die Spannungen zwischen Kat und Corey werden von Tag zu Tag schlimmer. Die Vollblut-Künstlerin versucht die Probleme mit ihrem alten Freund durch ein klärendes Gespräch aus der Welt zu schaffen, doch dieser Versuch geht total daneben.
8	Episode 60
Im „High Voltage“ herrscht dicke Luft. Tattoo-Künstler Corey ist sauer auf seine Chefin, weil er sich in seiner Privatsphäre verletzt fühlt: Kat von D arbeitet gerade an ihrem zweiten Buch und hat darin auch ein paar Storys über ihre Angestellten zu Papier gebracht. - Ein absolutes No Go für den Publicity-scheuen Corey. Oder ist der Hobby-Musiker einfach nur gestresst, weil er kaum mehr Zeit hat, mit seiner Band „Power Flex Five“ zu proben? Die Jungs stehen kurz vor einem wichtigen Auftritt. Trotz schlechter Stimmung lädt er Kat schließlich doch zum Gig im Roxy ein. Die beiden verbindet ja eine jahrelange Freundschaft. Aber die Tattoo-Queen hat anscheinend Wichtigeres zu tun…
7	Episode 59
Beim Tätowieren können ganz neue Karrieren angestoßen werden: Künstler Paulie zaubert seinem Kunden Erick ein Blumen-Motiv auf die Haut, das ihn an seine Kindheit erinnern soll. Dabei kommen die beiden ins Gespräch. Erick dreht beruflich Musikvideos und wird in Kürze einen Clip mit Rap-Legende „Snoop Dog“ produzieren. Wie es der Zufall will, ist im Drehbuch noch eine kleine Rolle unbesetzt. Da Erick von Paulies Arbeit völlig begeistert ist, lädt er ihn kurzerhand zum Dreh ein. Kat steht inzwischen vor einer ganz anderen Herausforderung: Die Studio-Chefin soll ihre Tattoo-Kunst nicht auf menschlicher Haut, sondern auf ganz ungewohntem Material präsentieren.
6	Episode 58
Was genau ist eine Seschat-Hieroglyphe? Tattoo-Künstler Dan Smith muss sich in dieser Episode erst einmal in die altägyptische Geschichte einarbeiten, bevor er seiner Kundin einen Entwurf zeichnen kann. Das gefragte Themengebiet ist für ihn nämlich vollkommen neu. Und ohne Hintergrundwissen fehlen Dan natürlich die Ideen. Wie sich aber herausstellt, hat Stacia ihr Motiv ganz bewusst gewählt: Die angehende Schriftstellerin hat gerade ihr erstes Buch veröffentlicht, und das Abbild der ägyptischen Göttin auf ihrem Arm soll bei der weiteren Karriere Glück bringen.

„Time is on my side“ - dieser Songtitel der Rolling Stones hat für Jennifer eine besondere Bedeutung: Coreys Kundin erkrankte bereits im Alter von zwei Jahren an Leukämie und musste lange Zeit um ihr Leben kämpfen. Heute ist die junge Frau vollständig geheilt und wünscht sich das Tattoo einer Turmuhr als Sinnbild für die harten Jahre, die sie mit viel Willenskraft gemeistert hat. Corey macht sich mit Hingabe an die Arbeit, während seiner Chefin am anderen Ende des Studios langsam der Kragen platzt. Dort knöpft sich Kat ihre Shop-Managerin Liz vor, um ein ernstes Wort mit der Nerv tötenden neuen Mitarbeiterin zu reden.

Die Stimmung im „High Voltage“ ist angespannt, da sich die Angestellten des Tattoo-Shops fast täglich Konkurrenzkämpfe liefern. Shop-Managerin Adrienne nennt ihre Kollegin Liz nur noch „Little Mrs. Perfect“, weil sich die Neue im Team ständig in den Vordergrund spielen will und alles besser weiß. Kat versucht, die schlechte Stimmung im Studio mit einer entspannten Grill-Party aufzulockern. Doch Liz plädiert für eine gediegene Feier im Luxushotel, inklusive Kerzenlicht, Tafelsilber und Schampus und fällt ihrer Chefin damit in den Rücken. Nur beim Tätowieren läuft es für L.A.-Girl Kat momentan reibungslos: Rapper „Soulja Boy“ ist von seinem neuen Tattoo hellauf begeistert.
3	Episode 55
Zu früh gefreut? Liz, die neue Shop-Managerin im „High Voltage“, präsentiert sich bei der Arbeit ein wenig übereifrig. Schon am zweiten Tag überfällt Aubrys Nachfolgerin ihre Kollegen mit jeder Menge Ideen. Wie es aussieht, fühlt sich Liz zu Höherem berufen und strebt im Shop einen leitenden Posten an. Gestresst vom enormen Tatendrang ihrer Angestellten flüchtet sich Kat in die Arbeit. Die Tattoo-Queen entwirft für Kundin Darby ein kunstvolles Herbstlaubmotiv mit schwarzen und grauen Blättern. Doch die Ruhe ist nur von kurzer Dauer. Zuhause erwartet Kat eine böse Überraschung.
2	Episode 54
Nach Aubrys Rauswurf kehrt im „High Voltage“ wieder Ruhe ein. Kat hat für den vakanten Posten des Shop-Managers schnell Ersatz gefunden und mit ihrer Wahl voll ins Schwarze getroffen: Liz, die Neue, präsentiert sich beim Amtsantritt sehr engagiert, interessiert und vor allem gut organisiert! Nun kann sich das Team wieder ganz auf die Arbeit konzentrieren. Und mit Nadel und Tinte haben die Tattoo-Asse ja bekanntlich einiges drauf. Kat beispielsweise sticht ihrer Kundin Kristen in dieser Episode einen Konzertflügel auf den Rücken - ein sehr aufwändiges Motiv, das die Tattoo-Queen wie immer mit Bravour meistert. Kristen ist vom ersten, sehr extravaganten Entwurf der Studio-Chefin hellauf begeistert.
1	Episode 53
Dieses Mal ist Aubry entschieden zu weit gegangen! Nachdem die Shop-Managerin in den vergangenen Wochen von einem Fettnäpfen ins andere getreten ist, bringt sie das Fass jetzt endgültig zum Überlaufen. Statt sich um ihre Aufgaben zu kümmern, mischt sie sich ständig unaufgefordert in fremde Angelegenheiten ein und vermasselt Corey damit einen wichtigen Job. Kat, die gerade von einer Promotion-Tour für ihre neue Make Up- Kollektion aus New York zurückgekehrt ist, stellt Aubry im Studio zur Rede. Da die Shop-Managerin nicht im Traum daran denkt, sich zu entschuldigen, greift Kat hart durch: Aubry muss im „High Voltage“ ihre Koffer packen. Beim theatralischen Abgang der ehemaligen Aushilfe wird es im Studio ziemlich laut.
